Heather and her husband David purchased Martin Jewellers from Jim Martin on January 1, 2017. David is still working full time at his primary job but hopes to train with the staff in the future and put his design experience to work with custom CAD designs and jewelry fabrication. He plans to learn the clock and watch repair side of the business.
Heather has always had a passion for jewelry and started early in high school at a local jeweler in Appleton. She started preparing for the ownership of Martin Jewellers well before taking over and began taking classes with the Gemological Institute of America. She has completed a number of courses and plans to attain a Graduate Gemologist degree within the next year or two. Heather leaves the complicated repairs to Joel and Steph but does minor repairs and all of the pearl and bead restringing. Heather and Dave are both from Appleton, and look forward to spending more time with nearby family and making new friends and connections in Shawano.
